There is a magic in the air above as the uptown atmosphere of Cagayan de Oro was filled with breathtaking fireworks display last August 28, 2017 during the annual Higalaay Pyromusical Festival presented by SM City Cagayan de Oro in partnership with the local government of the city.
The Pyromusical Festival event has been a favorite of Kagay-anons and tourists and became part of the Festival's tradition creating magic for thousands of spectators from different ages, and groups, who regularly gather to witness the show.
Now on its 9th installment, the Higalaay Pyromusical Festival is considered as one of the sought-after events to watch out during Cagayan de Oro's Higalaay Festival as it showcase the grandest display of fireworks exhibition in the city. It is one of the most spectacular competitions of its kind in Cagayan de Oro.
Thousands of onlookers gathered and watched the 5 contingents from different cities around the country as they compete against one another through a vibrant celebration of Higalaay Culture that is friendship and camaraderie, showcasing the best compositions of pyrotechnicians, lighting up the night sky with their spectacular fireworks display blended with rhythmical music.
The entry from Bulacan, the pyrotechnic capital of the country, was announced as the grand champion presenting its magnificent pyrotechnic effects and breathtaking impressions composed with piece of music into a spectacular backdrop of the uptown. The team from Cagayan de Oro bagged the Second Place, while the entry from Manila took the 3rd place.
Throughout the 9th years of existence of the Pyromusical Festival, the number of the crowd of families, and friends, joining the fireworks display as onlookers proves that the event is a real success.
