One of the Parallel Events for this year's Higalaay Festival, the TSADA Cagayan de Oro Photowalk Event is the first social photography event by the Camera Club of Cagayan de Oro which aims to promote the city as a destination to choose from amongst other places in the country.
The 1st TSADA Cagayan de Oro Photowalk is in partnership with Project Lupad, Business Week Mindanao, and Mindanao Daily News.
The Photowalk event will happen on August 20, 2017 (Sunday) from 06:00 in the morning until 06:00 in the evening. Registered participants will assemble at the Tourism Information Hall, Plaza Divisoria at 06:00am for event briefing and officially start at 06:30am going to Centrio Mall via Corrales Avenue to cover the Kagay-an Festival Marathon. At 08:00am, participants will continue the photowalk journey to Gaston Park via Paseo del Mar also known today as the Velez Street. Participants will be given an ample time to check out the Higalaay Agri Fair and Garden Show located within the park or check out the Cagayan de Oro Cowboy Festival at the Uptown section of the city. By 11:00am, participants are expected to visit at Columbia Store, 2nd Level, Centrio Mall, Ayala for special announcement.
At 12:00 noon, participants are expected to go to 1A Express Hotel located in C.M. Recto Avenue for the Street Photography, and Festival Lecture. Resource Speakers include Mr Gian James Maagad which will talk about the essence of Street Photography, Mr Hensell Prince Hebaya will tackle about Documentary Photography, and me for a short lecture on Festival Scene. The lecture will end at 03:00pm.
The photowalk will continue at Velez Street for the CDO Carnival Street Dance Competition, and Higalaay Festival Queen Carnival at 04:00pm. It will officially end at 06:00pm.
Aside of the Photowalk, registered participants will automatically join the Photography competition and have the chance to win amazing prizes from the sponsors. Please check below photo for reference.
Registration Fee at: P100.00 per head with light snacks and certificate.
Photographers joining the photowalk are requested to bring the following:
-Digital Single Lens Reflex/Translucent cameras, and/or Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens cameras
-Point-and-Shoot camera owners are also welcome to join
-A good tripod
-Extra shirt
-Bottled water
-Pocket money
