Christmas is a yearly religious and cultural celebration among Christians that commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. The word “Christmas” comes from the Mass of Christ that observes mainly on December 25, and Filipinos are known to celebrate the longest Christmas season in the world that casually begins on the month of September and ends on January.

As the daylight hours get shorter, and while night hours are getting longer, the spirit of the Yuletide season can be felt and experienced all over the city through jubilant, and splendid embellishments of dancing lights, Christmas trees with sizable tallness, attractive parols and the likes that can be found at different establishments including hotels.
Apple Tree Resort and Hotel's 21.4 feet-high Christmas Tree that is made up of  3,550 pieces coconut spikelets commonly called as “Botay” from the groves of Aubijid, Molugan, and El Salvador City in the province of Misamis Oriental. It’s adorned with around 1,000 pieces of green, gold, silver, red, and blue Christmas balls, and accordingly, took a 432 man hours to make.
It has been an annual tradition for us Christians to light up our Christmas Trees with different decors as to officially signify the start of the yuletide season. Indeed, Christmas is just around the corner, a perfect season of sharing and giving especially to our brethren who were given the least interest in society.

The Christmas Tree has a height of 21.4 feet to be exact with a diameter of 11 feet and is made up of 3,550 pieces coconut spikelets commonly called as “Botay” from the groves of Aubijid, Molugan, and El Salvador City in the province of Misamis Oriental. It’s adorned with around 1,000 pieces of green, gold, silver, red, and blue Christmas balls, and accordingly, took a 432 man hours to make.

While other hotel establishments has also opened the yuletide season through the Christmas Tree Lighting events, Apple Tree Resort and Hotel’s Christmas Tree is by far having the biggest one, and also Gigantic the Resort has ever been made!
